“Acts 2:17, says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Vision belongs to that which is apostolic, but utterance belongs to the prophetic. The Apostolic is the younger covenant, the New Covenant, and the prophetic spanned both old and new covenants. Now, Does this mean that only apostles have visions, and prophets dream dreams? No, it means that illumination comes from the apostolic into the church. God made made two luminaries, the sun and the moon. Both give light, but the moon gets its light from the Sun. The prophet in the old covenant saw because the Spirit of Christ, the Apostle, was in them prophesying. The prophet builds upon an apostolic blueprint for the edification of the house. The apostolic gives the x-ray of the house, and the prophetic gives the diagnosis, but you also need a Doctor, or a teacher for the releasing of information given so you can apply the scriptural remedies needed. It was God according to 1Corinthians 12:28 that He had set some in the church, “…first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers…” In Acts 13 there were prophets and teachers in the apostolic sending of Barnabas and Saul.”
