Sin was Judged at the Cross

Daniel 9:24 “…and to make an end of sins…” Sin was ended at the cross. But what does that mean? Sin was judged in Christ at the cross. Christ who knew no sin was made sin for us ( 2 Cor.5:21). The scripture says “…the strength of Sin was the law (1Cor.15:56)” meaning the law magnified sin and its offense. Two things then happened at the cross: the law which magnified sin was nailed to the cross, and sin was also put to death by the body of Christ who condemned sin in himself by becoming a sin offering. Isaiah 53:10 says “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin…” By Christ ending sins power through removing the law, and destroying sin at the Cross, he gave us power through the Holy Spirit by the resurrection from the dead. How to activate that ending of sin in your life is through water baptism, why water baptism? Because it is your crucifixion with Christ when you step in the past through veil of water to unveil the power of God that comes in you by Spirit. Romans 6:3-4 says “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:11 says “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
