Matthew 11:23 says “And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.” What Jesus says here is ground breaking! Sodom was known for homosexuality, and vile living but Jesus says that miracles signs and wonders would have spared the destruction of Sodom till this day. It is here that we understand that God wants to save the souls of many, even the homosexual. God wants to change the hearts of sinners. The miracles of Christ can transformed communities. Men and women need to see the anointing that destroys the yoke of homosexuality. When you see homosexuality in a culture, it’s a tell tale sign that destruction is going to take place. Romans 1:18 says “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” According to the Apostle Paul, homosexuality is judgment from God: Romans 1:26-27 says “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” The New Living Translation says it this way: Romans 1:26-27 NLT[26] That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. [27] And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.” Even though it is a judgment from God, Paul says the Christian is inexcusable because they were doing the same things by breaking the laws of God. They were guilty of the same lewd things that the Gentiles who didn’t know God were doing because they were trying to be justified by the law, but they were found to be breakers of the same law. God wants to save humanity, he wants to bring revival in the earth. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT [9] Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, [10] or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. [11] Some of you WERE once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
