Sweet and Bitter

Revelation 10:10 says “And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.”

The true prophetic is sweet and bitter. Those that are hungry for smooth words only want the sweetness of the Prophetic. When a prophet releases the counsel of God out his/her mouth it isn’t to please those hearing, but they are to speak what God is saying. Prophecy confirms and builds, but it also moves a false security in untested words that aren’t from the Lord. Jeremiah 1:10 says “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”
