A DISILLUSIONED CHURCH?

A DISILLUSIONED CHURCH?

“John the Baptist misunderstood the mission of Jesus. He was almost disillusioned so to speak. He thought Jesus was coming to overthrow the government and establish the kingdom of God in Jerusalem. Even though John had the Holy spirit it was not revealed to him how Christ was going to establish the kingdom of God. Luke 7: 19 says “And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? Or look we for another?” As great as John’s ministry was, he was blinded by an Old wineskin mindset. If John, who was the greatest of all Old Testament Prophets, could misunderstand what Jesus came to do and shift, wouldn’t you think that today’s ‘church’ would also misunderstand what Christ came to do? Jesus answered his question; but more than that he came to shift the landscape of the prophetic because he fulfilled them. Are ‘we’ disillusioned? Are we looking for things that we should be seeing through spiritual eyes? Are we looking for Jesus to overthrow the American government to run for President of the U.S? Be careful who you align yourselves with in these times. Jesus gives us an example that we are not to speak to the kings of this world as you are not a watchman for the governments of this world; but you are a watchman for the government of the KING of kings. You speak into the church and through the church.
