WORSHIP AND THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS!

Revelation 5:6-8 (KJV)

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”

What we see in verse 6, is the resurrected Christ in heaven, and the sending of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost into all the earth! The Prophet Zechariah sees the same thing in the Spirit, because in the Spirit there is no time (Zech.3:1-10). We see Satan standing to accuse Joshua, who is a picture of Yeshua (Jesus); but according to Revelation 12:9,10, Satan is kicked out of heaven from accusing the saints after Christ’s ascension, then the Holy Spirit is sent on the day of Pentecost (Acts2, Rev.12:10).

The Bible says in the book of Revelation that after Christ took the book the twenty four Elders then fell down and began to worship with harps and golden vails full of odors which are the prayers of saints. The harp is a Davidic instrument in the sight of God. Psalms 43:4 says, “Then will I go unto the altar of God,unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.” The harp here is a prophetic picture of the tabernacle of David: Acts 15:13-17 says (KJV) “And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.” And with the tabernacle of David comes worship and prayer!

Prayers of the saints: Revelation 8:2-3 says, “And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.” Psalms 141:2 says, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”

Revelation 8:4-5 says, “And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.”

Notice what happens with vails of prayer that the twenty four Elders had; the angel takes it and offers it with incense to God upon the altar, and he takes the golden censer and fills it with fire from the altar that the prayers of the saints were on and cast the fire in the earth! And the next few things that happen are vital to our understanding. When the angel cast the fire from the prayers into the earth it brought forth:

1) Voices

2) Thunderings

3) Lightning’s

4) Earthquake.

Revelation 4:5 gives the same instance in reverse order from the throne of God which says “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.” First from the throne of God the decree comes, and those decrees are:

1) lightings

2) thunderings

3) voices

So, from the throne of God the decree comes from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven.

Lightning is the glory of God, the shine of his presence.

Thunderings is the roar of God in Christ as the Lion.

Voices are the sound of the Spirit of God. But in chapter 8, the sound of the Spirit inside the people of God cry out! Because of the fire of intercession from the altar.

The thunderings that come from earth to heaven is the roar of travail. The travailing prayer that has been set on fire from heaven to bring forth the birthing of what God has planted inside of the people of God, the lightning of his glory!! YOU ARE BIRTHING OUT THE GLORY OF GOD THAT WILL FILL THE EARTH! This glory will bring THE EARTHQUAKE!! The fear of God, shaking of foundations that are not built on Christ, and the movement towards Reformation. Proverbs 9:10 (KJV) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

There are seven dimensions to the Spirit of God: the Fear of the Lord is the Seventh dimension of the Holy Spirit of God, but Wisdom is the first dimension. Knowledge is the fifth dimension of the Spirit of God and Holiness is the sixth dimension of the Spirit. In this generation we need a birthing of the fear of God to rain on us from the heavens!
