Daniel chapter 7 speaks of four beasts coming out of the sea. These beast as we understand it are Nebuchadnezzar, the second beast was Darius the Mede and Cyrus, the third beast was Alexander and his Generals; the fourth beast was Rome and Arabia, along with the ten nations of Europe, the sea is Mediterranean, but the sea in the Bible are people groups. We must also be careful to understand that these heads are taken from the book of Daniel; it’s not an account of the early captivities under Egypt or Assyria because it starts with Babylon as the head of Gold in chapter two of Daniel. The seven heads are as follows:
1. Babylon,
2. Media,
3. Persia,
4. Greece,
5. The Generals,
6. Rome,
7. And Arabia.
In chapter two of the book of Daniel, it says that the “iron” shall “mingle” themselves with the seed of men. The word mingle in the Hebrew means “Arab”, where we get the word Arabia; so while the false prophet Mohammad starts this head; the Germanic tribes of Europe scatter adding mixture to the iron of the beast.
The Bible says five are fallen, Babylon through the Generals has fallen; Rome was in power when the Apostle John was writing Revelation. Rome became officially divided in 476 A.D. into the east and west Empire, the pinnacle of Roman occupancy at its breaking point. During that time the ten horns that were on the beast scattered into the territorial frame of the Roman Empire. Chapter 12 of Revelation let’s us know that there were seven heads on the dragon, but the seven heads on the beast are different in Revelation 13. In chapter 12, it was the heads time to reign, because they were crowned; but in chapter 13 it was the horns time to reign because they were also crowned. Revelation 12 tells a story within a story, yet chapter 13 tells us the global scale of the heads of government throughout time. The seven heads on the Dragon in Revelation 12, are the Herodian dynasty of vassal kings which will be talked about in another video.
“When the German General Odovacar deposed the last Roman Emperor Romulus Augustulus, the Huns were the ones driving the Germanic tribes towards the Roman provinces. These Germanic tribes were the Ostragoths, the Visigoths, the Franks, the Vandals, the Alamanni, the Saxons, the Heruli, the Lombards, the Burgundians, and the Suebi, or sometimes referred to as the Swabians, ten in all.
The Ostragoths were an eastern division of the Goths who migrated into Italy. The Visigoths were also known as Goths. They were a barbaric western division, eventually they went toward Spain. The Franks became the French (France), the Vandals moved to North Africa; which later became Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. The Alamanni also known as Germanni or Germans, were actually the defeated Assyrians who migrated into central Europe shortly after their fall about 610 B.C. Germanni was a general name used by the Romans to represent all Assyrian tribes. The Assyrian tribes were known as the Katti, Chatti (also Hatti, or Hessians). Chatti is still the Hebrew term for German, and the Romans also used Khatti to represent Germanic tribes.
Latin speaking peoples called them Quadians (Akkadians) the Kassites or Cossaei; and the Almani or Halmani, and Allemani. Today Germans refer to themselves as the ‘Deutschen’, which was derived from the Saxon word for an ‘Assyrian’. Their country name is called “Deutschland”. The Romans called them Teutons. Ancient Hindu writings used the word ‘Asgras’ and ‘Daityas’ to refer to the Assyrians. Daityas was a Sanskrit word for ‘Deutsch’. Slaves in Assyrian captivity during their fall were most likely released from captivity. The tribe of Dan in particular who were taken by the Assyrians and latter migrated with them near the Black Forest area still have their name etched in one of Germanys rivers known as the ‘Danube’. The Saxons scattered across Europe but also became the English. The Heruli, which means “marauding band”, went to Portugal, and some went to Poland. The Lombard’s migrated to Sicily; the Burgundians became French as well as the Franks. The Suebi went toward Spain. Through 500 A.D. to 1500 A.D. these tribes or conglomerates became nations. In alphabetical order they are:
1. Albania,
2. Algeria,
3. Bulgaria,
4. France,
5. Hungary,
6. Italy,
7. Morocco,
8. Rumania,
9. Tunisia, and the 10th is Yugoslavia.
These nations reigned simultaneously with the Tribulation beast. The scripture says in Dan. 2: 41, that “… the kingdom shall be divided…” to better understand this process we must go back to the Emperor Constantine. Constantine was the Roman Emperor, called by many “The Protector of Christianity”. He was the first “Christian” Emperor, or one who tolerated it. He was the first to have a council since the Apostles convened at Jerusalem. Soon after that, in 330 A.D. he decided to remove the capital, to dissociate himself from Roman democratic traditions. He chose the city of Byzantium, which he rebuilt as Constantinople, modern day Istanbul. It was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and no pagan religion was allowed in it at its beginning. Constantine called it “Nova Roma”, or New Rome; he believed he started a new era. However, this did start the beginning of the Orthodox Christian Roman Empire in the east. These were the Greek speaking Christians, which I will refer to as spiritual Benjamin. This move by Constantine was the beginning of the divide.
During the rule of the Roman Emperor of the west, Honorius, and the rule of the Emperor of the east, Arcadius, the western Empire’s demise was irreversible. Then the Visigoths invaded Rome. Honorius and Arcadius were brothers. Their father Theodosius, on his death bed, gave them the east and west Empires. In 476 A.D. the western Empire was finally dissolved by Odovacar, the leader of the Germanic soldiers in the Roman army. The eastern Empire continued under Emperor’s: in 800 A.D. Charlemagne, king of the Franks, was crowned Emperor by Pope Leo III, and founds the Holy Roman Empire.
In 811 A.D. the eastern Roman Emperor recognized Charlemagne as Emperor of Rome. A peace treaty is agreed upon between the new Emperor and the eastern Empire. Later Martin Luther separates from the Catholic church starting the beginning of spiritual Israel (the Protestant church) and spiritual Judah (the Catholic church). The five kings that were in the west were: France, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Italy. The five eastern kings were: Yugoslavia, Albania, Bulgaria, Rumania, and Hungary. Daniel says in chapter 7: 8, that “I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold. In this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” The three horns were plucked up by Hitler, and these three were: France, Yugoslavia, and Italy. France tried to resist Hitler, but Marshal Henri Philipp Petain gave in to him on June 21, 1940. Yugoslavia also resisted, but the Nazis set up a Fascist government under Vatsi in 1941. The Italian government, after Mussolini was deposed, resisted, but the Nazis conquered Italy and set up the Fascist Republican Government of Italy on September 15, 1943, under the previous dictator, Mussolini. By Hitler’s conquest of France, he gained control of the North African kingdoms of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. Through Italy, he gained Albania. From these conquests he gained seven nations: France, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Italy, Albania, and Yugoslavia. The other three joined Hitler in the tripartite pact, which already included Germany, Italy, and Japan. Hungary came in Nov. 1940; and Rumania, also came in Nov. 1940. Bulgaria joined in March 1941. These ten nations gave their power to the beast (Rev. 17: 13, 17). 2 Dan. 7: 7, says “… and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it…”
William Shirer’s book called ‘The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich’ gives us a vivid look at how this statement from Daniel impacted the mind of Hitler. He says “… German culture which became dominant in the Nineteenth century… rests primarily on Fichte and Hegel, to begin with and then Treitschke, Nietzsche, Richard Wagner and a host of others…” Hegel says “The litany of private virtues-modesty, humility, philanthropy and forbearance-must not be raised against them… so mighty a form (the state) must trample down many an object in its path.” He also says “Germany’s hour” will come. These statements gave inspiration to Hitler. Treitschke out goes Hegel in proclaiming war as the highest expression of man. He says “to play blindly with peace… has become the shame of the thought and morality of our age.” Nietzsche was one of the originators of the Nazi “weltanschauung” (worldview). The philosopher thundered against democracy and parliaments, preached the will to power, praised war and proclaimed the coming of the master race and the superman. In the ‘Will to power’ he explains: “A daring and ruler race is building itself up… the aim should be to prepare a Transvaluation of values for a particularly strong kind of man, most highly gifted in intellect and will. This man and the elite around him will become the “lords of the earth”. These rantings struck a chord in Hitler’s evil mind that he considered himself the superman that Nietzsche talked about.
This quote unquote “ruler race” of people came from Magog. Satan then is giving a call to Magog. It is a call to Japhetic people groups around the world. The name Magog is found in Genesis 10: 2: “The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.” The Bible says in Ezekiel 38 and 39, that God would use Magog in the end time to come against Israel. Ezekiel 39: 1 says: “Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:” And in chapter 38 verse 2, He says, “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal and prophesy against him.” The Bible doesn’t give the names of Magog’s sons, but it is his descendants that call Japhetic people groups against Israel. The Bible says in Revelation 20 that they come against the camp of the saints. Outside Biblical sources say that Magog had four sons: Elichanaf, Lubal, Baath, or Jobaath, and Fathochta. Baath was given the land called Magog, and his descendants were known as Scythians, or Messagetae. The Assyrians after their defeat in 610 B.C. migrated north and intermingled with the Scythians and became known as the Alamanni, but their name Germanni, would carry on in Europe. Scythia is known as Russia today. The Bible says that Magog is the chief prince of Meshech; Meshech is none other than Moscow, and Tubal is the state of Tobolsk. Earlier place names of Meshech and Tubal also appear in Turkey as Mus and Mutki (Meshech), and in Southern Russia or Chechnya as Tbilisi (Tubal). Gog was known in history as Gyges of Lydia (Turkey), ruler of Muski and Tabal (Meshech and Tubal). God is using him as a type of the beast that will cause the nations to come against Israel after the 1000-year reign of Messiah. It is important to note that the reign of Christ had already started in the days of the Apostles. In Joel 3: 11,12,14, the prophet states: “Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord. Let the heathen be WAKENED, and come up to the valley of decision for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” Notice what Joel says in verse 12, “… let the heathen be WAKENED…” this is not a resurrection, but in the Hebrew this word is ‘Uwr’ which means “to open the eyes, to wake, to stir up self.” The SS carried the Swastika flag with the words “Deutschland Erwache” that is ‘Germany Awake’ which roused the awe-struck Germans to open their eyes to Lebensraum (living space). Under the sway of Adolf Hitler and the Swastika, the Germans were mobilized to act upon the Jewish question. It is evident that they began to act upon it with six million Jews destroyed by the Holocaust. This was the beginning of the coming of Gog. In the Septuagint Bible, Amos chapter 7: 1 tells us of the king of the locust: “Thus the Lord showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at dawn, and behold, one locust, Gog, was the king.” The Hebrew word for ‘Gentile’ can mean a flight of locusts in the sense of massing. Revelation speaks of locusts coming out of the Bottomless Pit: Revelation 9: 1-2a says, “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit…” This verse is important to our understanding of where we are as pertaining to the timeline of eschatological events. Revelation 20: 1 says, “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.” What’s happening in Revelation 20: 1 is the binding of Satan for one thousand years. Please understand that the thousand years are symbolic and that it represents an extended period of time. But what’s happing in Revelation 9: 1 is the opening of the bottomless pit AFTER the thousand years are finished: Revelation 20: 7 says, “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.” Always remember the book of Revelation is not in chronological order. So, Revelation 9 is after the binding of Satan. That would mean Hitler was the Gog of Ezekiel, and Revelation, and the Apollyon of Revelation 9.
We are in the times of the ‘latter years’ as we speak. The latter years are not the same as the ‘last days’. The ‘last days in the Bible always refer to the last days of first century Jerusalem. The term ‘latter years’ comes from the book of Ezekiel chapter 38 verse 8. God was speaking to Gog in this chapter and says “After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people…” The word ‘years’ in the Hebrew is Shaneh meaning a revolution of time; but it comes from a root word called Shanah which means to duplicate, do again, double, repeat, or do the second time. The latter years are a repeat of the last days of Israel, but its with a greater intensity, that is double the intensity of what it was before. Daniel 8: 23 says: “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.” Hitler appeared in the latter years, he was destroyed but the rest of the beast remained: Daniel 7:12 says “As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.” Judgment will fall upon every nation that aligned themselves with Adolf Hitler: France, Albania, Bulgaria, Algeria, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Rumania, Tunisia, and Yugoslavia. Notice that all these nations surrounded the Mediterranean Sea. Japan also was an axis power with Germany; they will receive the same judgment as the other nations. Every person that fell under the spell of the beast is eternally condemned, including those that called themselves by the name of Jesus, who also raised their hands to the swastika, and who raised their hands in the face of Adolf Hitler.
