An Apostolic and Prophetic Devotional for reformers

Day 1, Genesis 1:3 (KJV)

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” The Apostle gives illumination, while the Prophet gives Inspiration.

Jesus is the Apostle and there is nothing hidden that cannot be seen! John 12:46 (KJV)

“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” IF you have the light in you, then you are a city set on a hill! Inspire means to breathe into. John 1:5 says “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

The word ‘comprehended’ here means to overtake and possess. No demon can overtake you or possess a child of God who is walking in the light that no man can approach unto!! 1 Timothy 6:16 says of Christ “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” The Holy Spirit moved over the face of the waters! The wind of God! The Prophet has the wind of God with him/her.

Revelation 19:10 (KJV)

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Jesus is not only the Apostle but HE is the PROPHET! If you are a prophet, Jesus is in you! You are an Apostolic House because he has breathed His light into you! Psalms 119:130 says “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”

Day 2, Genesis 1:6 (KJV)

“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”

The word “firmament” means expanse. God has to expand you, he has to stretch you out, and it will take the bruising of trouble and trail to stretch you. The scriptures say he called the firmament heaven. Isaiah 51:16 says (KJV) “And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.” CREATE YOUR WORLD WITH THE RHEMA WORD GOD GIVES YOU! God is enlarging you so you can handle the word that’s going to be placed in you. We also must eat the word to become the message as Apostles and Prophetic people: Jeremiah 15:16 says (KJV) “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” And also Revelation 10:10-11 says (KJV) “And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.” And Daniel 12:3 says “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Day 3, Genesis 1:9 (KJV)

“And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.”

God called you to be “A Gathering Place”. The Bible says the waters he called “Seas”. The first letter of the word “Seas” in the Hebrew is “Yod” meaning throw, hand, or worship. God is gathering you together so you can throw your hands up and WORSHIP! He is calling us to become one body. When you are operating in your place, you will be able to discern dry places, for God wants you to become a river and a stream to flow into the dry places of the earth, to irrigate the world, to fill the thirsty soul. And not only are you a river; but you are a tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth fruit in and out of season whose leaf will not fade! God has chosen to use your leaves to heal nations BECAUSE you are planted by the RIVER OF GOD! We are The Gathering Place!

Day 4, Genesis 1:14 (KJV)

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”

After God expands and stretches you, the word that’s in you will be able to give light or illumination to those coming for guidance.

The Bible said in Genesis 1:17 (KJV) “And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,”

He will cause your gift (Apostolic or Prophetic) to “give light”! The phrase “give light” means to “set on fire”. If the people that are under you are not “set on fire”, then you are not operating in your gift. Your gift is to help people understand what season they are in. You have to make your calling and election sure! The Gift that God has given you to be will cause you to rule and have dominion. Rule and set people on fire for God!

Day 5, Genesis 1:20 (KJV)

“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” God says I’ve gathered you as my Gathering place to BRING FORTH! I’m gonna cause you to multiply yourself in the earth, and what comes of you shall press into my glory! WHAT’S COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH IS for A NEW BREED! And I shall cause them to soar upon the word I have spoken to you. And they shall bring forth!!! Isaiah 59:21 (KJV) “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.” For John 6:63 says “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

Day 6, Genesis 1:24 (KJV)

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.”

Genesis 1:26 also says (KJV) “And God said, Let us make man in our image (spirit), after our likeness (soul): and let them have dominion (through a body) over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” God says what you discerned is COMING FORTH! God has anointed you for this Journey, and He developed you outside the four walls of the Church, so you can see the enemy when you return! I’m causing you to walk in your inheritance as a Son, YOU are of full age now and have your spiritual senses exercised to discern good and evil says the Lord: Malachi 3:18 (KJV) “Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” You have grown into HIM which is the Head, even MY SON JESUS! It’s time to EQUIP my sons and daughters, and for them to sharpen their EQUIPMENT! You are ready to move in full authority without delay! I’m causing you to walk in total dominion!

Day 7, Genesis 2:2 (KJV)

“And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” NOW it’s time to rest in the Presence of God! As you press into the GLORY OF GOD, He has marked you, because you MARKED His word! Jeremiah 23:18 says (KJV) “For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?” The word “counsel” means you’ve been in the secret place with God! You have seen and heard his voice! You have entered into REST when you hear from God, because you have ceased from your ideas, and your own opinions, because God has downloaded INTO you the MIND OF CHRIST! EVERY TIME I’M IN YOUR PRESENCE LORD, I NEED YOUR MIND JESUS!!!!!!! GOD SAYS REST IN MY GRACE!!! THIS IS THE PLACE OF MY REST!!! The Sabbath has always been about walking in Grace: in the Old Covenant you must not work on the Sabbath or you would be cut off because it was witnessing to us of the true Sabbath, which is the GRACE of God! Why is Grace the true Sabbath? Because when you are under Grace you must not work FOR your salvation, but trust in the FINISHED work of Christ for your salvation. Because if you work for your salvation through the law you will never enter into rest (grace), you will be cut off from God.

Chapter Two

Genesis 2:1-3 says “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

In Genesis chapter two God let’s us in on something. As we look at the first five books of the Bible we will see the way Jesus saw things. It is said that Genesis has two different creation stories; for instance chapter one says man was made on day six of creation; but chapter two says man was made before God made vegetation which in chapter one is made on day three of creation. We must understand that the Old Testament is filled with types and shadows that are pointing to the image standing in the light which no man can approach unto, nor can see nor has seen. Jesus is that image. Adam was the last creation in chapter one, but he was before day three of creation in chapter two which shows us a picture of Jesus the second Adam who is before all things, and he is the first and the last. Chapter one is the story of what God made, but chapter two is the story of the creation of the Garden of Eden which in chapter one was left out: Genesis 2:5 says “And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.” In chapter two, God shows us what he created on day three, was only seeded in the Garden he planted but would later cause to grow in front of Adam (v8). In chapter one God creates the living fowl from the water, but in chapter two they are made from the Earth because I believe God made different types of creatures in the Garden then he made in chapter one. Your chapter two is already prepared for you! You are the ruler in the next chapter, because he made you ruler in chapter one for your chapter two! You were last in your first chapter, but in your next chapter God makes you first!”
