The Master Prophet: Part 1

“1 Samuel 7:15-17 says “And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life. And he went from year to year in circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places. And his return was to Ramah; for there was his house; and there he judged Israel; and there he built an altar unto the LORD.” To be a master prophet is to be a teaching prophet. Samuel was the father of the Prophets. Prophets would make schools where their sons could be trained in the prophetic: 2 Kings 2:3 says “And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.” They were trained to know in the Spirit that Elijah was going to be taken into heaven. Elijah was a teaching (Master) Prophet to Elijah. If you know the story of Elijah and Elisha, Elijah placed his mantle on Elisha because God told him to anoint him as Prophet IN HIS PLACE: 1 Kings 19:16 says “And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.” Some prophets act like other Prophets because they are fulfilling the former prophets assignments before they are being taken off the scene. They have the mantle of their teacher.” Stay tuned for more in my new series “The Master Prophet”
