“The word furnace means a fire place or a place of burning, like the lake of fire, or a place of bondage, like when Israel was in Egypt, but it also represents a place of refinement, For Isaiah 48:10 says “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” When I was a kid we had a fire place, but what we had on top of that fire place was called a mantle. And on top of that mantle there were family portraits of fathers and mothers that were dear to each of us. If you’re going through a fire place experience, remember it’s to reveal the mantle on your life. And there are people that helped shape your experiences so you can handle the furnace of refinement, so you can realize your furnace was just a fire place to reveal who you are.”
