Jeremiah 3:16 says “And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.” Notice the phrase ‘…neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it…’ another passage sounds quite the same in this regard: Isaiah 65:17 says “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: AND THE FORMER SHALL NOT BE REMEMBERED, NOR COME INTO MIND.” The reason that the Ark would not be remembered is because it was passing away. The Ark was a symbol of the Old Covenant. God is removing outdated things that we keep turning our heart to. These things were a shadow of the one casting the shadow. We must turn our hearts to Christ! For he is the Ark: Revelation 11:19 says “And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.” When we begin to see Jesus for who He is; then we’ll begin to understand that the lightning is the Glory of God in Christ. The voices are the sound of the Spirit of Christ in the earth! And the thunderings are the roar of God in Christ as the Lion of Judah! This will then cause the earthquake of revival in the earth, so that the Glory of God could come forth out of us through the roar of intercession, and we will be able to hear the voice of Christ clearly as he speaks to us.
