“Ephesians 4:12 says “For the perfecting of the saints…” it is now more vital than ever before that God sent Apostles arise to perfect that which is lacking in the body of Christ and position gifts where needed. 1 Thessalonians 3:7-10 says “For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?” The word “perfecting” and “perfect” means to complete, but a better word means to “fit”. Where do you fit in the body of Christ? Before we answer that we must understand the phrase “perfect that which is lacking”. The word lacking means that there is a deficit, and where a deficit is there must be a filling of that deficit. The Apostle then is to help fill that deficit by fitting giftings in their proper place of alignment. To adjust the body to accurately function according to God’s original plans and purposes for it. To frame the picture of your destiny with you becoming joined together with a local body as well as the body of Christ in general. To repair, perfect, complete, to restore. When you think of pairing your phone to your vehicle, it uses Bluetooth, but sometimes that connection gets lost, and you to have RE-pair it. Or a store where you get resources for daily sustenance, it has to be restocked or REstored. The Apostle in the same sense helps to repair and restore giftings in the body through impartation: Romans 1:11 says “For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;”. We must understand that the Apostle helps the body mature, as well as others gifts do, it is important to understand that when the church doesn’t have the apostolic at work then people operate in offices they were not supposed to walk in. Apostles bring illumination, Prophets bring inspiration. When the Apostle gives an illuminated blueprint that Prophets can build upon, then teachers iterate And reiterate that instruction, and pastors communicate that information to a body, while Evangelist give invitation to the world to become a piece that can be fit by an Apostolic community.”
