1 Corinthians 15:26 says “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
Jesus destroyed death or is that soon to come? Isaiah 25:6-8 says “And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.”
JESUS DEFEATED OUR LAST ENEMY!! First he destroyed the one had the power of death, Satan! Satan had the power of death because he deceived Eve and caused the transgression Adam in the Garden. 1 John 3:8 says”He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” And Hebrews 2:14 says “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” When Christ was manifested in the flesh he condemned sin in his flesh by walking in the Spirit, because the law couldn’t condemn him because he walked in the Spirit. But Jesus took what condemned us, the law of Moses, and nailed it to cross after he fulfilled it, and took who accused us, Satan; and bound the strongman by his death on the cross and shut the mouth of the devil against us! Satan used the good law to accuse us before God, because the law kills, and Satan had the power of death and used it against us by twisting what was good to destroy us! The sin in our flesh which was magnified against the law of God continued to get stronger, because the law continued to accuse it, but in the process the law also killed us! Colossians 2:14-15 says “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
JESUS TRIUMPHED OVER SATAN AND HIS DEMONS IN THE DEATH ON THE CROSS!!
John 12:31-32 “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. (Jn.16:8-11).
THE JUDGMENT HAPPENED TO SATAN AT THE CROSS!!
He was sentenced and cast out of heaven for good never to accuse saints before God again! Revelation 12:9-10 says “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”
AFTER THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN, THEN SATAN AND HIS DEMONS WERE CAST OUT!!!
Jesus has the KEYS OF DEATH AND HELL!!! Revelation 1:18 says “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.“
Satans power was destroyed at the cross. Jesus crushed his head at the cross! The last enemy was destroyed at the cross; but it will show that it was destroyed at Our resurrection when we rise from the dead. Romans 16:20 says “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT JESUS IS GIVING YOU THE KEY!!!! THE KEY OF THE KINGDOM!!! IF JESUS DESTROYED THE LAST ENEMY AND HE HAS THE KEY!! IT IS THE KEY OF RESURRECTION POWER!!!! Paul said that I might know him IN THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION!!! Resurrection declares that Death has no more dominion over Christ!!!!!!!!!! Romans 6:9-10 says “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. IF HE, and He is, LIVING UNTO, his life is in you living unto God in you!!!
1 Corinthians 15:54-56 says “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.” But remember, Jesus took sins strength away by nailing the law to the cross! Satan used the Old Testament law to accuse us before God! The law caused us to be dead in sin because it not only condemned sin, but it condemned us in the process. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 says “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” Death was defeated at Christ resurrection! But at our resurrection it will show forth with Great power because death will be under our feet. We now rule with Christ! We are seated in heavenly places in Christ! The dead in Christ rule with Christ in heaven, but the living in Christ are seated in Christ and Christ in them as we speak! Christ has given us a key to speak to death! He has given us a key to unlock life, John 11:25-26 says “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
