The Return!

Isaiah 11:11-12 says, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the SECOND time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

God lets us know in plain sight where Israel and Judah were scattered. Isaiah 27:13 says “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.”

The beginning of the blowing of this ‘Great Trumpet’ was that of Salvation: Acts 2:5,9-11 speaks of Israelites and Jews returning to Jerusalem but not under the Old Covenant of Moses; but of the ‘second’ Covenant, the New Covenant! And it would seem oxymoronic for Jews to be returning before they were even scattered in A.D.70, but actually they were scattered under Assyria, and the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem and other dispersions as well.

“And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven…Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.” Acts 11:26 says that “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Antioch was part of the old Assyria, now Syria. So, the captivity began returning at Pentecost!

THE LAND RETURN

This return would be at the end of history after Jerusalems desolations.

Isaiah 6:9-12 says “And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.” Jerusalem would have to be desolate till the end (Matthew 23:38). Isaiah is quoted by Jesus in Matthew 13:10-17.

Isaiah 49:20-22 says “The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell. Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been? Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms,
and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulder.”

The above passage is the land return of the Jews from the Ashkenazi in 1948. Genesis 9:27 prophesied that God would enlarge Japheth and he would dwell in the tents of Shem. This also means Shem was scattered throughout the earth for their disobedience and their rejection of the Messiah, Jesus.

These are the people that will be in the land when Christ returns.

Zechariah 12:2-3 says “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
