1 John 2 gives us a clue: 1 John 2:18-19 says “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
The “antichrists” in that generation were those who believed that salvation came by the law of Moses and rejected Christ as Messiah.
2 John 1:6-7 says “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
Notice that these Antichrist insist that you keep the 613 laws of Moses instead of keeping Christ commands which is to love one another and to love each other as he loved us. In this they deceive you into thinking Jesus did not come to fulfill the law, so you must keep all 613 laws. When this happens you fall from Grace into your own religion which is against Christ, it is antichrist.
